William Booth arrives in New Zealand

In March 1889, the founder of The Salvation Army, General William Booth, made his third visit to New Zealand.
General Booth visited the Bluff, Invercargill, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland—warmly welcomed by a tremendous reception wherever he went. He addressed many crowded public meetings in the biggest halls in the country.
