Heritage Series 06 – Tri-Colour Ribbon

The wearing of the tri-colour ribbon appears to be an encouraged first step for a new recruit in The Salvation Army – a way of showing your new connection to the Army. But it seems, in the New Zealand context particularly, that the wearing of the tri-colour ribbon was valued by officers and soldiers to the extent that there exists in the historical record of cabinet card photos dozens of examples of its use.
